Wedding Flowers

When designing your wedding flowers, local north east florist Karen Alexander uses the personal touch and a bespoke approach.

Your wedding day should celebrate all the things you love as a couple and your wedding blooms should reflect your personal style. It’s so much more than just choosing a colour palette.

As a wedding florist, I work with a natural, textured, luxury style creating all the fresh wedding flowers you need for your special day. From the bridal party flowers including bouquets and buttonholes, to table centrepieces and also large scale statement arrangements and installations, I can design them all bringing in your favourite blooms and colour palette.

Working with Me

Inspired by nature, I work with seasonal blooms to create a gathered and styled look to your wedding day. Whether you want to have a laid-back rustic luxe style or something more elegant and formal, every element of your wedding flowers will reflect your dream wedding vision. My signature style works with texture, using lots of different types of flowers and foliage in each arrangement to create a luxurious look.

From bridal bouquets, flower crowns and buttonholes through to centrepieces, wedding arches and large-scale installations you can have all the flowers you're dreaming of for your special day.

My couples are stylish and want their day to be beautiful and have an idea of the overall style they want to achieve but tend to leave the little details to me. You’ll be able to put your trust in me to create the most incredible arrangements for you both. It’s my job to understand your vision and to bring it to life for you without the stress.

You might also like to give some thought to what you want to do with your flowers after your wedding day.

  • Maybe give the arrangements away as gifts at the end of the day?
  • Can they be re-used at brunch or a BBQ the following day?
  • Perhaps donate your wedding flowers to a local hospice or care home?

As your wedding florist, I can weave your wishes into the design of your wedding flowers and ensure that your flowers can be enjoyed beyond your wedding day.

As an eco-conscious company, I am focussed on reducing our single plastic use and working on sustainability. We use local growers and seasonal flowers wherever possible. We try to avoid using floral foam and compost all of our green waste. 2022 will see me start to grow a curated patch of my own flowers to use in beautiful weddings.

What will it cost?

No two weddings are the same and that goes for setting a budget too.

Knowing what to budget for your wedding flowers is difficult because the price depends on so many factors. Your budget will depend on seasonality, types of flowers, availability, colours, how many bridesmaids, Groom and groomsmen, table centres, venue dressing, wedding bunting, floral wedding arches or no arches at all? However, most of my couples spend around 10% of their total wedding budget on flowers, this isn't right or wrong but is a very general starting point.

So many questions! So, to help you plan at least one element of your wedding, please feel free to download my Pricing Guide
