Shotton Grange

Let me help you get started on choosing your wedding flowers and decorations for Shotton Grange.
If you’ve chosen this venue for your wedding then you’ll know it’s a hidden gem.
The style of this venue perfectly blends historical buildings with modern styling and the different spaces mean that your day flows beautifully.
So how do you go about styling this venue for your wedding day?
The Ceremony
The Coach House is such a beautiful space that perfectly blends historical rustic charm with a modern, fresh feel.
The neutral decor forms a backdrop to whatever colour palette you want to add so my suggestions for decorating your ceremony space include:
Chairs:
If you want to add a sash you can either dress every chair, every other chair or just the aisle chairs. The chairs move from the ceremony to the reception so you don’t need to dress them twice, My personal preference is every other chair but whatever suits your style is best for you.
The aisle:
You can add little floral bundles or big full bundles of foliage to the aisle chairs. Lanterns with candles on the floor down the aisle work really well or, alternatively, a line of foliage or petals can define the walkway.
Ceremony Flowers:
A statement arrangement on the fireplace is a must for me in this space. It creates a beautiful frame for your photos (and also your dancefloor later on). I also recommend an arrangement on the signing table which can be moved to the top table after the ceremony.
If you’re getting married outside in the walled gardens then all of the above still applies but instead of dressing the fireplace a statement arch would create a beautiful backdrop.

The Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony the space will be transformed for the wedding breakfast and the centrepieces become the focal point.
In this space, there are so many options and either tall or low arrangements work well. I would even suggest a mixture of the two. Either way, I recommend including candles or tea lights somewhere for that intimate atmosphere.
Coloured napkins are a great way of bringing your colour palette onto the tables, especially if you’re using minimal flowers, and your place cards complete the styling on your tables.

There are lots of other opportunities to personalise this venue with your own style too.
You could dress the entrance to the Coach House with floral columns or put little arrangements on the tables on the deck or in the Blue Bar.
